Day 28 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Day 28 - No title yet.
22" x 15" - Acrylic on Arches 140 HP

Mark making under it all. Opaque and transparent paint over the top. Two or three applications of Black, White and Green applied with palette knife, brush, and moved around in some places with paper towel and baby wipes. I enjoy the texture of this piece.

    1. Thank you, Ophelia! For some reason I am liking grid-like paintings.

    1. The green is Golden Sap Green Hue Fluid Acrylic. I was given a 1/2 oz. bottle at a workshop. Thank you for the nice comment.

  3. Karolyn, I'm enjoying the texture of this piece also—and the loose, not-all-lined-up grid and the values. I especially like the light gray bits and the lighter green bits. I had an instant tactile memory of handling a piece of fabric, ironing it, laying it out on a table just so before pinning Simplicity pattern pieces to it.

  4. I sometimes think of quilts when I am working on a grid-like painting. Thank you for your lovely comment, Dotty.
